Hinton Waldrist Parish Council is seeking to appoint a reliable and motivated Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to support the work of the council.
This is a part-time role (approx. 5 hours per week), mainly home-based, with attendance required at evening council meetings (usually once every two months). The Clerk is the Council’s principal officer, responsible for preparing agendas and minutes, handling correspondence, managing finances, and advising councillors to ensure the Council operates lawfully and effectively.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational, administrative, and IT skills. Experience in finance or local government is desirable but not essential, and full training and support will be provided. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Salary (depending on experience) SCP 7 – SCP17 (£13.69 - £16.08 per hour). Training, including the opportunity to work towards the CiLCA qualification, will be supported.
