 councillors has been designed for member councils who want to respond appr
 opriately to planning applications which come before them. Phil Shaw from 
 West Oxfordshire District Council will lead the training. He will give a g
 eneral overview of how parish councils fit into the planning system and pr
 actical advice on how to respond to typical planning applications with wor
 ked examples. This will include changes in the role of town and parish cou
 ncils due to the new National Scheme of Delegation of Planning Functions\,
  which comes into force on 31 October 2026. This course will start promptl
 y at 10:00am and finish at 1:00pm. Refreshments will be provided\, so plea
 se let us know of any dietary requirements when booking.
