 of Training will be provided to all participants who complete the course a
 nd do not take the RPII Examination. Those completing the course will have
  the opportunity to take the Register of Play Inspectors International exa
 m for Operational Inspections. This can be organised for the end of the se
 cond day at advance notice if required (RPII delegate charges of £265 per
  candidate will apply). Course content The two day course will cover the r
 elevant aspects of BS EN 1176 Parts 1-7\, looking at how it impacts our wo
 rk in playgrounds and playground safety. With this particular session we a
 re trying to provide guidance and understanding of how to apply the standa
 rd. Introduction to Safety The importance of play to children and child de
 velopment Playground accidents\, types\, severity and reasons The legal fr
 amework for playgrounds and inspectors\; negligence etc. Statute Law appli
 cable Types and hierarchy of inspections Risk Assessment Reporting and Pap
 erwork Inspection of specific play items and surfacing Checking of mainten
 ance and other playground actions taken Common faults with standard play i
 tems How to inspect\, including approaches and ancillary items Please note
 : Attendees will be expected to be able to climb and thoroughly inspect pl
 ay equipment on-site. Due to the practical aspects of this course and poss
 ible inclement weather\, please wear appropriate clothing. This course wil
 l take place on 16th and 17th September 2025 from 9.30am - 4.00pm.
